In a tranquil, tree lined country lane leading to the beautiful Ovens River, lies Tyntynder Garden Cottages.
​
We have 2 fully self contained cottages (in a group of 4) set amongst an acre of magnificent private gardens. Additionally, each cottage has its own fully fenced private garden for you to enjoy. Tyntynder Garden Cottages are numbers 2 and 4.
​
Each two bedroom cottage accommodates four people. We also welcome your four legged friends to enjoy your private fenced yard and a stroll down the lane to miles of river walks.
​
For cycling enthusiast or just the casual weekend rider, we have room for your bicycle and all your gear.
The cottages are close enough to town that you can enjoy the wonderful delights of Bright (1 min drive or 20 minute walk along the river), but far enough away that you can enjoy the peace and serenity of a holiday getaway.

Tyntynder Garden Cottage 2 has just won the Five Paw Pet Friendly Accommodation 2018/19 for Victoria with Holidaying with Dogs. Under prior ownership, Tyntynder Lodge won several awards with Trip Advisor, Stayz, the Age and Holidaying with Dogs. With our recent refurbishment (Dec 2017), we're sure you will have a comfortable stay!

OUR COTTAGES
There are two cottages available. Both have the same layout with 2 bedrooms, a bathroom with separate toilet, kitchen, living and dining room. Both cottages have a king bed in the main bedroom and two king singles in the second bedroom. Both feature crisp white sheets and comfy beds with firm and soft pillows for your comfort.

AMENITIES
Location
​
Situated on a quiet lane, Tyntynder is within 100 metres from the Ovens river where you can enjoy several walks. You are only a short walk to town (20 minute walk along the river) or one minute drive, so you can enjoy all that Bright has to offer.

Pet Friendly
Each cottage has its own fenced yard where your dog may play off leash. However, they should be on a leash at all times when in the common area which is everywhere except the fenced yards. Dogs are allowed inside the cottages. However, they can not be left alone in the cottage or yard when you are not there. If you need a dog sitter, please enquire when you book or there is information at the cottage. You must clean up after your dog or you will be charged a fee.
Garden
Each cottage has its own fully fenced private garden as well as an acre of beautiful gardens surrounding the cottages. You can enjoy the native birds that will visit and listen to the sounds of the Ovens River in the background.
Cyclists
​
Cyclists are more than welcome at Tyntynder. As a Ride High Country preferred business, we want to ensure you and your bicycle enjoy your stay.
There is a hose and bucket to wash down your bicycle. You may store the bicycles in the cottage. Cottage 2 has a secure shed where you can lock your bicycle. There are 92 kms of sealed Rail Trail just 150 metres from the units.
Cook
A freshly remodelled kitchen features a new fridge, Bosch Oven, 4 burner gas stove top, microwave, dishwasher, quality cookware, Maxwell Williams crockery, glassware, utensils, toaster and kettle.
Dining
​
A 4 seater dining table inside and an outside dining table on your private deck next to your BBQ with wonderful views over your private, fully fenced garden. It is a great place to relax at the end of the day with your favourite drink.
Wash
​
A top load washer and dryer are provided for your convenience. There is also an iron and ironing board. At the end of cottage 4 is a clothes line. Pegs and a washing basket are provided.
Live
​
There is a spacious open lounge with stylish new furniture. A TV, and DVD player are provided so bring along your favourite movie/show to watch. There is reverse cycle air conditioning in each cottage and a slow combustion fire to snuggle up on the couch to enjoy. There is also free Wi-fi in each cottage.

Outside
​
A gas BBQ is located on your private deck. You can relax and listen to the native birds and sound of the Ovens river. You can also stroll out the back gate and take a 100 metre walk to the Ovens river and miles of riverside walking tracks.
Wood Burning fire
​
The fire will be set in the cooler months upon your arrival. Some firelighters will be provided. Additional kindling and firelighters can be purchased at the local grocery store.
Tea & Coffee
Twinnings tea and Moccona coffee are supplied in both the cottages. For your convenience we also provide coffee plungers with cottage 2 supplying Fairtrade plunger coffee .
Linen
​
Fresh linen and crisp white sheets are provided with doonas and cotton blankets. The beds are made ready for your arrival.

THINGS TO DO
Wineries
There are several great wineries within a 45 minute drive. You can access many on the bike trail between Bright and Myrtleford. So everyone should be able to find something to their taste in the High country wine region.
Craft Breweries
​
Enjoy an afternoon sampling some of the craft breweries in the area. You can walk to Bright Brewery in town or drive up Mount Bogong to enjoy the spectacular views while sampling summer Ale at the Sweetwater Brewing Company. Why not take a 6 pack back to the cottage to enjoy on the verandah.
Things to do in the High Country
​
There are so many choices of activities. You can go hang gliding, cycling, fishing, discover the best local brew or just splash with the kids in the water park. You'll need to make several trips to do it all!
Tours
​
There are tours for all interests. There is rock climbing, cliff picnics, hot air ballooning, cycle tours, day walks. So you will be spoilt for choice.
Food and Wine
​
The area hosts some of the best produce in the state. You can wander through Alpine Villages to sample fresh produce and enjoy cool climate wines.
Walking trails
​
There are several walks that can be accessed from the property that you can do with your dog. You can find more information in the compendium located in the unit.
